STEPS OF FARMING The first step to crocodile farming is to go hunting for crocodile eggs then take them back to a incubator or a hatcher .When they hatch, raise them until they are at least 3 years old and 1.8 metres long, then kill them to make leather products such as hand-bags and and shoes. People also eat crocodiles' tails and other pieces of flesh. |

HISTORY Hunting Crocodiles slowly died then the hunters recognised that they had killed to many crocodiles to keep marketing them.Approximately 270,000 salt-water crocodiles and 300,000 crocodile hides were sold in other countries in 15 years before 1972.There were only a few left in the late 60's so that the hunters couldn't make a living.Hunting crocodiles was brought to a stop by the the Western Australian government in 1969.In 1971 the Northern Territory government gave the salt water crocodiles total protection. Qld followed in 1974. Other the next decade the populations made a remarkable recovery.
