FAMOUS  ABORIGINAL  PEOPLE
There are many famous people in the world like Che Cockatoo Collins and Andrew Mcleod (A.F.L. footballers) but there are also as many people who are famous aboriginal people, like Ernie Dingo or Albert Namatjira or Cathy Freeman and Gavin Wanganeen. But many people don't show as much respect to aboriginals as much as they should.

Cathy Freeman's middle name is Astrid Salome. Ernie Dingo began his career in 1978. Gavin Wanganeen was born 16th june 1973. Albert Namatjira was born in 1902 and died in 1959.

Albert Namatjira was the first aboriginal painter to gain a national reputation as an artist. Ernie Dingo's aboriginal name is Undumuru or Oondamooroo.

Cathy Freeman's Profile          

Cathy Freeman's grandfather Frank Fisher, was a rugby league player. Her full name is Cathy Astrid Salome Freeman. Her two major victories were the 100m relay at Commonweath Games 1990 and the Gold Medal at the Olympics in Sydney in 2000.  Another major victory was the 200m at Commonwealth Games 1994.
