KOALAS

INTRODUCTION

The koala is a mammal and it is a marsupial. That means they crawl into the pouch. The koala has got grey fur. The pouch is to keep the baby warm. It has a white chest.  

FEEDING

They feed the joey from the nipple in the pouch.They feed for 6 months.The koalas eat some gum leaves.

BREEDING.

Koalas mate from October to February. The baby koala is called a joey. The joey is born in 5 weeks. Once the joey is born the joey is blind and has no hair. It is tiny because it's  less than 1 inch long. It crawls into the mother's pouch.

THREATS

A snake can bite them.The cars run them over. A fox can kill the koala.The feral cat can catch the koalas.
