BREED PURPOSE

Australian silky terriers are little dogs. They are the perfect pet and they are so cute.

The breed purpose of the Australian silky terrier is that they were used on Aussie farms to keep out rats and snakes.

HOW THEY GOT THEIR NAME
The silky terrier got its name from its lovely silky coat.

DID YOU KNOW???
An Australian silky terrier would risk his own life for his owner.

IS THEIR TAIL DOCKED?
Yes, their tails are docked. But in some European countries docking is illegal. 

HEIGHT AND WEIGHT
Height 23-25cm ( 9-10 inches)
Weight in kgs 4-5 ( 8-11 pounds)

WHAT FOOD DO THEY EAT
The Australian silky terrier eats meat and canned dog food.
